2022 Rate Adjustment
2022 Rate Adjustments
Granger-Hunter Improvement District (GHID) is proposing rate
adjustments for 2022 as part of a 10-year financial plan to meet GHID’s current
and future water and wastewater system needs.
These rates are based on a 2021 Master Plan and Rate Study to
provide direction on how to manage and ensure that infrastructure investment is
meeting regulations, provides reliable services, keeps pace with population
growth, and protects public health and the environment. This 10-year plan also
includes a plan for long-term adjustments to meet future needs.
Background
information on pending rate adjustments can be found here.
What are the 2022 Rates?
WATER
GHID will increase the 3rd tier water rate and add a 4th
tier. Water tier adjustments are designed to encourage water conservation
during the summer months and reflect the true cost of providing higher use
service.

reflect the cost to GHID by the Central Valley Water Reclamation Facility. The
existing $5.00 Central Valley fee will not change.
